About

Welcome! Thank you for visiting our website. Here you can learn about our farm, our products, our struggles and our successes. Our primary goal is to glorify God in all that we do. After that, we hope to use our gifts, talents and resources to provide our customers with excellent and beneficial products. Bright Arrows Farm began as an idea, a hope, a work of love, in 1995. We lived in Picayune, Ms at the time. We first named our school Bright Arrows Academy as we began home schooling our children. The idea behind Bright Arrows came from Psalm 127:4, which says,
As arrows are in the hand of a mighty man; so are children of the youth.Psalm 127:4
The Lord led us to also understand through Matthew 5:14 and 16 that our “arrows” should be bright. “Ye are the light of the world…… Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.” In all that we do, we hope to bring glory to God, and we strive to instill this in our children. Thus, the idea became the hope, and the hope is our work of love. Our home school has naturally branched out to include our daughters’ interest in 4-H, thus Bright Arrows Farm. The girls began showing their grandfather’s Angus in 2008. In 2009 we decided that it was finally time to realize a dream of owning dairy goats. We started with two goats, a LaMancha and a Nubian. Showing the goats was a great education for our daughters. We also had the added benefit of the wonderful milk! Our son had always suffered from lactose intolerance, so he was raised on soy milk. Having fresh goat milk which does NOT create mucous, which is easier to digest, and which has no antibiotic or growth hormone residues is such a blessing! Now the entire family enjoys the fresh milk, the cheeses, the kefir, the soap and especially the ice cream! While we can provide customers with fresh milk, the farm now focuses on providing natural body care products. Bringing you some of the finest farm fresh soaps on the market is our joy and pleasure.

Why Goat Milk?

Skin is the body’s largest organ. According to US News and World Report July 7, 2011, the skin is an interface between the brain and the world around us. Our skin is an endocrine organ producing hormones and vitamin D for the body. Since our skin is responsible for so much, we should care for our skin to the best of our ability.

Many of the so called “soaps” available for purchase on the shelves of your local “-Mart” are not nourishing for the skin. Most have had the glycerin removed as a by-product to be sold separately. Some are even now labeled as “bath bars” or “face bars” because they are not soap at all, but are actually detergents.

Goat milk naturally contains alpha-hydroxy acids that remove dead skin cells from your skin. This leaves your skin smoother and younger looking. Removing dead skin cells will help many skin conditions by removing irritation. Store bought water-based soaps may use harsh chemical acids to accomplish this, frequently with skin-damaging results.

Goat milk also contains many vitamins. It is high in Vitamins A, B1, B6, B12, and E. Vitamin A helps to repair damaged skin tissue, and maintain the natural elasticity of your skin. Vitamin E is the most effective naturally occurring beauty product. It also has a pronounced anti-aging effect on the skin.

The cream that is present in goat milk boosts the moisturizing quality of our goat milk soaps. Our Goat milk soap will not dry your skin out like many other soaps. This is important because keeping skin naturally moisturized helps keep skin healthy. Our soap is especially beneficial in helping to reduce cracks and bumps on your skin.

Our goat milk soap contains important minerals for the skin that aren’t found in most store-bought soaps. Although the water used in other soaps may contain minerals such as calcium, sodium, or iron (commonly found in tap water), that’s not much help when it comes to your skin.
